Do people know about Joel Spolsky? He runs a small, successful
software company in NYC and writes pithy articles on software
development topics.

This new one does a great job of explaining why functional languages
are powerful and C++/Java tie your hands. Ends up with why Google is
innovating and M$ is not:

> "If your programming language requires you to use functors, you're
> not getting all the benefits of a modern programming environment. See
> if you can get some of your money back."
>
> - Read the whole story online:
> "Can Your Programming Language Do This?"

Definitely worth a read -- and should be handed to all OPL students.
