Subject: [Cadre-politics] Swetha goodbye lunch

After more than 400 hours of faithful and thoughtful volunteer work,
Swetha Chandrashekar is returning to the old country to pursue paying
work.

Her big accomplishment was saving our butts with the CDBG grant to do
usability testing on MVHub.com. If she hadn't pulled several 13 hour
days, we would have lost the $4,000 grant and any hope of getting future
grants from the same source.

More important, were the results, there is a big difference between
watching people use our software and arguing among ourselves about what
the users might like.

While a lunch and a sincere hand shake are not compensation equal to her
accomplishments, we can do only our best.

In the PO box today there was a "Dear taxpayer" letter.

Based on the information provided them, the IRS has choosen to forgive
about $1800 in penalties for me filing our 990 late.

We're trying to raise $5,000 to keep Mansi, one of our best volunteer
programmers  in the county.

The fundraising tea will be 3:30 - 5:30pm Thur 11/17 in Alumni Hall. (1
university ave lowell ma). Admission will be $20.
