[CSL board] bottom line officer duties

Below is about the minimum I think we can get away with as far as 
officer responsibilities.

The "*" mark items which have not been done in the past.

I think we need the "*"  as we move from being a $33K/yr org last 
year to a $60-$100K / year organization this year.

Everyone now on the board has the ability to be an officer.

Probably not everyone has an additional 3-8 hours a month to give.

After the this next board meeting, we should have a general idea 
of who is willing to serve as an officer,

At the February (official annual) meeting, we will elect officers.

If there is not a slate for February, the existing officers will 
probably start twisting arms in December.


PRESIDENT
	Plan agenda for board meetings (3 hrs / month)

	Chair the board meetings (n/a)
	
	sign checks  (1 hr / month)

	* Represent the CSL at meetings (1 hr / month)

	* Serve on executive committee (3 hrs / month)

VICE PRESIDENT Fred Martin
	Act in absence of president (n/a)

	Train to replace president (3 hrs month)


	* Serve on executive committee (3 hrs / month)

TREASURER
     *   match http://thecsl.org/sys/finance.d/checkbook.xls
	to bank	statement (2 hrs / month)

     *   match receipts to ledger line items (2 hrs / month)

     *   Participate in creating
         financial statements for board (3 hrs / month)
         meetings.

     *   Serve on executive committee (3 hrs /month)

CLERK
	Keep minutes of board meetings (1 hour / month)

	Keep track of Board member (1 hour / month)
	term start and end dates.

    *    file reports with MA secretary (4 hrs / year)
          of state and Attorney General

    *    Serve on executive committee (3 hrs / month)

    *	Minutes of executive committee (1 hr / month)
